NorFonts licenses its fonts under specific terms. This page explains the main licensing rules, including EULA terms, extended licenses, license holders, installation limits, PDF embedding, app use, logo use, and returns.
License Agreement
The End User License Agreement (EULA) is a legal document between NorFonts and the end user. It explains the terms and conditions that govern the use of NorFonts fonts. When you purchase and use NorFonts fonts, you purchase a license to use them, not ownership of the fonts themselves. The EULA explains the permitted and prohibited uses of the fonts.
Extended Licenses
NorFonts offers extended license coverage beyond the basic Print license. You may choose a discounted Print + Web bundle, or a Web license if you only need web fonts. The eBooks license covers electronic book publishing, while the Mobile license covers font use in mobile applications.
License Holder
Anyone who needs to install and use NorFonts fonts must hold a license. If you are a graphic designer working on a project for a client, the license should be issued in your name. If the client also needs to use the fonts in the graphic solution you created, the client must purchase a separate license in their own name.
License Count & Multi-License
Like other software, fonts are licensed for a specific number of computers. The basic license allows installation on up to five computers within a single geographic location. If you need to install the fonts on more computers, select the appropriate number of licenses in the shopping cart. You may also increase the number of licenses after purchase. Please contact us for further information.
No Time Limit
NorFonts does not impose a time limit on font use. You may use purchased fonts indefinitely, provided that your editing or notation software continues to support them.
PDF Embedding
You may embed NorFonts fonts in electronic documents, such as PDF files, to display and print the glyphs contained in the document, provided that users cannot fully extract the font from the file.
Use in Applications and Devices
You may include NorFonts fonts in applications only in converted formats, such as bitmap images, vector outlines, or other secure formats that prevent extraction from the application’s source code. For software or hardware use, you need a specific license. Please contact us by email for further details.
Logo Usage
When creating a logo, we recommend delivering the final logotype to your client as vector outlines. This keeps the intended appearance of the logotype and removes the need for the client to hold a separate font license.
Return Policy
All purchases are final and non-refundable because NorFonts products are digital items.
